1: What have you been up to since graduation?

After graduating from USD, I went on to work in the real estate industry. In 2015, I opened up my own Real Estate Brokerage. Now, I work alongside my sisters in our boutique real estate firm in Palm Desert, CA, where I am a top producing agent in the area. I love helping people buy and sell homes. I take a more customer-centric approach and really love going above and beyond to help my clients with all aspects of the home buying or selling process. As a result, I keep in touch with many of my clients after the escrow period and always make myself available to them as their home consultant.

Also, we have kicked off our very own scholarship which started last year. This year, we have partnered with OneFuture Coachella Valley, an amazing nonprofit organization that is matching all funds raised. These funds will go to local graduating high school seniors in order to help pay for some college expenses.

They award over $1 million dollars in scholarships every year. We are there first alumni scholarship match, meaning all funds we raise, will be matched dollar by dollar, making donors contributions go twice as far. Our goal this year is to raise $10,000 which will be matched for a total of $20,000. This will equate to four $5,000 scholarships and leadership support for local high school students. Our goal is to continue raising funds and helping more high school students. My sisters and I are all first generation college students and awarding students with funds to help with college expenses is a dream we've always had. We had so much support from our Coachella Valley that we felt indebted to our community. Now, this is a way where we are continuing the cycle of giving.

2: What is your fondest memory of USD?

I truly loved the intimate feel of the campus and classrooms. It was nice to see people you knew around USD. Also, the attention you receive in the smaller classrooms is unparalleled.

I also met one of my best friends at USD. We were both in the honors dorms and clicked right away. We ended up becoming roommates for 3.5 years at USD. She was recently a bridesmaid in my wedding April of this year and I'm now going to be a bridesmaid in her wedding in a few weeks!

3: What is your favorite place on campus, why?

The Peace and Justice Studies building. It's where I spent most of my time at USD. I also enjoyed the reflection pool and views from the back of the building.

4: Who was your favorite USD professor or class?

I always tell people that I loved the small classes at USD. I really enjoyed participating in class. As a poli-sci major, it was very beneficial to have a small classroom setting to ask questions and engage in lectures.

Dr. Dickson was a wonderful professor. I was fortunate to have him to talk to and really challenge me in the classroom. Intro to Poli-Sci with him was extremely informative. It was a challenging but interesting class and I feel like when you are challenged, that's when you really see true self-growth and self-development.

5: How have you remained involved with USD since graduation?

I have attended a few local masses at the Sacred Heart school locally in Palm Desert.

6: If you could offer a current USD student advice, what would it be?

Enjoy your time at USD! Also, don't forget to take advantage of studying abroad. I will never forget my experience during the summer I studied abroad in London. It was character building and so enjoyable.
